The IMDEX Intern Program – Meet our summer Interns
Today, our six interns gathered together with the IMDEX HR Team; Nada Dixon (Global Talent Acquisition Specialist) and Yiota Arima (Organisational Development Specialist) for a delicious morning tea. It was a great opportunity for the interns to connect with each and share their Intern journey.
"We're delighted to host such a diverse and talented group of Interns for our summer Intern program. It’s a privilege for IMDEX to provide students and graduates with opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional work setting." said Nada.
About the IMDEX Internship Program
IMDEX launched the Internship Program early this year, in collaboration with Austmine’s STEM METS Program and Curtin University.
The Intern Program provides high-calibre university students with practical on-the-job training and an opportunity to widen their horizons in the dynamic world of Mining-Tech. Interns are mentored by their IMDEX team members. Through working on key projects, interns develop and apply the skills acquired through their studies in a professional setting.
Over 2018 and 2019, more than 20 Interns have undertaken Internships with IMDEX in Asia-Pacific and North America, across multiple disciplines. This year, IMDEX officially launched the Internship program. During the Asia-Pacific 2020-2021 summer break, IMDEX welcomes six Interns to its Perth Head Office in the disciplines of Master of Science (Industrial Engineering), Master of Professional Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Engineering (Mechanical), Commerce (Accounting and Management), Commerce (Marketing) and Law.
